Soda Ash Light is mainly used for manufacturing of Detergent powder & Cake, Sodium silicate, in Oil well drilling, hygiene / cleaning products, Sodium Chromate, Sodium Bichromate and Sodium Salts, as well as in effluent & water treatment, pulp, paper manufacture and in dyes.

Also used as a relatively strong base in various settings, for e.g. sodium carbonate is used as a pH regulator to maintain stable alkaline conditions necessary for the action of the majority of developing agents. It is a common additive in swimming pools used to neutralize the acidic effects of chlorine and raise pH.
